Jishiel and Ernesto in Downtown Los Angeles | Engagement Session Photography

Hey there ladies and gents!  We are so excited Jishiel and Ernesto are getting maaarrried!  Yep, they're tying the knot & we are super happy for them!

 We trekked through the big city of Downtown Los Angeles this past Saturday and got some beautiful shots of them.  We look forward to their beautiful Lake Arrowhead wedding this November.  We've been blessed to have not only met these two love birds, but to have seen their relationship bloom into such a wonderful union, almost from day one.  

You may have seen Ernesto in some of our other photo shoots with the Grunion Run, however, this is one is a bit different as we are featuring the love that they share for one another.

Wedding Photography Inspiration at Stolpman Villa | Los Olivos, CA

Last week we had the pleasure of going up to Los Olivos and shoot an editorial wedding at the private estate and vineyard, right in the heart of Los Olivos: Stolpman Villa, Villa Angeli

The pleasure was ours as every detail was definitely not overlooked by one of the best event planners and designers, Rani Hoover and the beauty of the vineyards fit perfectly into the day.

Pasadena CA Wedding & Reception Venue | Storrier-Stearns Japanese Garden

 

A few weeks ago we had the honor of shooting an event for ABC-GLA which was held at the beautiful and serene Storrier Stearns - Japanese Gardens in Pasadena. 

The garden is nestled in the quiet neighborhood of South Pasadena, and has recently been reopened after its restoration by the famed Takeo Uesugi, professor emeritus of landscape design at Cal-Poly Pomona and one of the leading experts on Japanese garden design which included rebuilding the teahouse. 

The gardens are now available for events such as wedding ceremony locations and receptions.

During the event we were able to listen to the beautiful taiko drums played by Kogenkai, Nanka Fukuoka Kenjinkai Taiko Club based in West Los Angeles. Food was provided by Huntington Caterers and the most awesome sweets were made by Top Chef Desserts Finalist Danielle Keene from Bittersweet Treats! Check out the images below.

Monday Musings: John Legend "All of Me"

**Disclaimer: I have to apologize ahead of time, this post will not include any pictures. You're going to have paint your own mental picture for what the lyrics are saying to you, personally.**

I have to tell you, I'm a huge lyric dude. I'm also a huge fan of the piano. Don't get me wrong, I love a ton of different kind of music. But when it comes down to it, just about anything with some meaningful lyrics over the piano keys hits the soul just perfect. Simple and to the point. Call me an old soul if you want, but all you really need to make a good song is a piano and a microphone.

 For all of you who are looking for that song to tell your Love how you really feel about them, this one may be it.  

There are very few songs out there that can explain exactly what we feel about our significant other. Most of the time it's the song that was playing on your first date. Sometimes its the song that we grew to love together as the relationship became stronger. 

No matter what the reason for having your song, if you don't have one, you're going to have to add this one to the top of your list. 

 I happened to find out this song by John Legend is going to be on his new album coming out later this month. He wrote this song about his fiance and when I heard it I was blown away by how perfect he captured their relationship in one song. While still expressing his love for his fiance.

The Grunion Run Groomsmen Shop | Downtown Los Angeles

We know grooms and groomsmen may not want to admit it, but dudes want to make sure they look as good as they can, just like brides and bridesmaids care about what they're wearing on their wedding day. I know I'm always looking for something fresh to make me look good, yet stand out just enough to be distinct.
