Engagement at Carbon Canyon Regional Park | Rachel and Aaron

If you missed Aaron's surprise proposal at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles he got one knee on the ice. Once we photographed their engagement session, it was pure fire. 

The love the have for each other is so evident and we're so excited to have front row seats to watch their lives blossom together. On a personal level, Rachel is my third sister and as she becomes the beautiful young woman she is, And as far as we can tell, Aaron definitely brings out the best in her. 

They both have a promising road ahead of them and we're so excited to see them get married in a few months. As a lover of travel and living a bohemian life, they're going to do things their way and we can't wait to see what they will incorporate for their wedding day.

Switzer Falls Engagement Session | Kimi and Daniel

Kimi and Daniel are one of the funnest couples we have met to date. And if you looked up Infectious Energy in the dictionary you would see their images.

Infectious Energy (adj): spreading energy from one to another.

And they absolutely Brought. It. ...all that and a red umbrella!

Kimi definitely brings out the love and energy out of Daniel as he came out of his shell and they were inseparable the whole time. You see, he was the one to pursue her with the idea of reconnecting via Facebook. Kimi obliged to accept his Facebook friendship and before long, they were going out and held conversations for longer than they realized. As their colleague turned friendship was in the beginning stages of a relationship, they realized how much they had in common and as they grew to know each other better Daniel had no choice but to propose for Kimi to marry him.

As lovers of the outdoors, hiking and nature they wanted to hold their engagement session at Switzer Falls as it's one of their favorite places to hang out and enjoy each other. And as avid lovers of the great outdoors ourselves, that's when we knew we clicked with them. If it wasn't for the cool temperature and chance of rain, we could have spent all day up there!

We're so excited for their wedding at La Canada Flintridge Country Club as we know they are going to infuse their own elements as Kimi did on her engagement session. With the love and support of their families, we're anticipating everyone to be celebrating Daniel and Kimi with the fullest of hearts.

LA Live Surprise Proposal | Rachel and Aaron

It was a chilly yet bearable night at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles. Christmas was a few days away and everybody was enjoying the holiday season as the Christmas lights, ice rink and infectious smiles were the centerpiece of the evening.

Although we knew what was going to happen, we were still on edge as we watched Rachel and Aaron go around and around the ice rink. Aaron was going to "act" like he fell and then pull out the ring and propose to Rachel on the ice. I have to say, Aaron is not the most talented ice skater and every time they went around, it looked like he was going to fall! Haha!

We were on pins and needles as we anticipated the proposal and then we saw him fall. And for a few seconds he didn't get up. And he looked hurt. So we weren't sure if it was "The Fall" or if we needed to call the medics. 

Then as the crowd on the ice started to build around him, he reached into his pocket and miraculously balanced himself on one knee. And Rachel couldn't stop smiling. She thought it was just them two on the ice then as Aaron pointed to us looking over the rails and cheering them on, she couldn't believe we were there the whole time! 

The happiness and excitement for what lies ahead was evident in everyone's faces and we can't be more excited for these two!

Carbon Canyon Engagement Session | Sabrina and Leo

Once you get to know Sabrina and Leo, you quickly realize how unique they are and how much love and joy they have for each other. We headed out to Carbon Canyon for their engagement session and I have to say they rocked it out!

With Leo's love of bass fishing and Sabrina's love of family and good food, we knew they were going to be awesome to hang with! Their story is pretty personal and through all of the thick and thin we realized that they were absolutely meant to be and we couldn't be happier for them. They are such a fun and relaxed couple, they are truly authentic and their emotions were shining throughout the whole session. 

We can't wait to rock out with them at Hurst Ranch wedding later on this year and to see them celebrate with friends and family.  If their engagement session is an early indicator, we know their wedding is going to be a total blast!

Pasadena Engagement Session at Arlington Garden | Hazel + Vaughn

We're so excited to feature Hazel and Vaughn's engagement session at Arlington Garden in Pasadena. The timing couldn't be more perfect as they wanted a romantic, garden location and wanted it right before Valentine's Day!

Just like the majority of our couple's nervously warn us, Hazel and Vaughn let us know they don't get in front of the camera frequently and were pretty nervous. I had a feeling they were lying to me because they absolutely rocked it! Right??!! 

We couldn't be happier for them and we're so excited for their Calamigos Equestrian Wedding later on this year.
